Many are they who use faith as a garment worn for protection against destiny. The illusion being that, since every action has an equal and opposite reaction, life itself must mean that one is doomed to perish. Many are they whom I have heard say, "live it up now while you still can", as if to imply that their 'knowledge' of my circumstance, (as we are all on the plane of disks simultaneously), gives them certainty that 'our' destinies are endowed with the same tragic ending. They don't understand how being so still can lead to yet grosser forms of stagnance; as a resistance to change; by believing that insight needs no True meditation. The Indian and the Buddhist, Mongol and Din are examples of what can occur when the mind and the flesh cease to be allies.
The Initiate understands how science, through a seemingly exterior mechanism, is the perfect tool for building the keys that may unlock the gates to the inner & hereafter. He/she further knows how experimentation itself is the gate. He/she probes his/her own existence, seeks the beginning of this perfection (LVX), conquering the future (NOX). More and more the onion is peeled; each 'apex' of Hadit takes flight as motion forward (unto Nuit!). To him/her success is the most powerful sign of all (IO PAN!).
Now, Nuit is beyond even All, and Initiation is the thread which forms the fabric of being. Willingly and forcefully, throughout Our existence do We partake in the unveiling of the company of heaven (Know Thyself). The word Initiation describes Godhood; the power of nature emanating from within one's own being. The purer one's Aspiration towards Truth, being Insight, the stronger the overall sense of the continuity of existence; and to the Initiate this results in a very real life (evolution).
Here is grave danger. For if this Realization is viewed through a reversed polarity, (e.g. the christist who observes Law of change as divine intervention), one is living the life of a lonely vampire; a dweller of the graveyard. The True Initiate understands his/her own mind's tendency towards contradiction and quickens this process to unfold a greater dimension; creating more possibility for experience; through the Method of Science. By keeping the mind fixed, or disciplined, on the Path of Initiation, (here the reversed polarity might confuse this with 'slavery'), there may come no ordeal one may not win; even Death! Not to say that dying daily does not occur within Initiation, on the contrary, it does! But We, as Initiates, choose to live & Will to exist.
