Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law
Ordinarily, when I refer to a woman as a vampire I am directing those who have experienced issues with the Chapter in Liber Aleph titled “DE SIRENIS” which translates as “On Sirens”. The Siren warned of in Liber Aleph is simply one example of the vampire.
Other examples are gold diggers or scammers. The type of woman who marries a man for his fortune pretending she loves him can actually kill the man who realizing what she has become knows that to divorce her is to be taken for a high percentage of his fortune plus the possibility of alimony. I knew at least one brother who actually died in this manner. This is blackmail marriage and can be fatal. The hyper tension of such a prolonged blackmail marriage is actually murder where she can kill her mate by draining him by long and tense pressure over the years. She cannot be tried for murder, of course, but she is nevertheless as responsible for the death of her husband as if she stabbed him repeatably. We have already been warned to move on and if you do not separate or leave the relationship that is Accursed to the Aeons and not just this Aeon you can expect the Hell to actually result in death or madness. Such restriction means one or both are vampires to each other and hold on to the relationship not from love as they should but for the sake of fortune. That sweet heart that you married has married you for your money and with the love making gone; she proceeds to show her vampire fangs. Today this type of vampire is so common that newly married couples actually sign agreements1. on what occurs with the fortunes if the marriages goes sour. Of course, all Hell breaks loose if such a agreement has been neglected.
The worst vampires do not appear aggressive as folklore would so dramatize it. They are soft and try to appeal to your emotions trying to pass it off as romance. They will not dress in dark attire or have fake fangs showing off how wicked they are. They have to stage play the southern belle or the high society socialite where they appeal and appear to the society they frequent to be happily married. Meanwhile, the silent turmoil and torment is slowing draining the man where he has been victimized and eaten away slowly as he is drained over a long period of time.
If fortune isn’t involved with the issues then it is ordinarily uncontrolled emotions and the lowest form is jealousy.
It should be carefully observed how a man who will not convert to a wife’s religion or the wife’s family religion creates a wave of conflict in the family who assumes that in a few generation that wife’s religion will eventually dominate the new generations. You might accuse the wife’s family of no harm to the husband unless you observe what the husband looked like in the early photos of the photos and see the horrid deterioration in the later photos. Of course, the photos themselves are supposed to show the glory of the relationship where the hidden deterioration are never spoken of. Yet, the evidence is there where the early photos of the couple show the husband vibrant and the later photos show the work of the vampire very clearly. In this case, the Turkish Family tried to dress up the husband as middle eastern trying to show the world that he had submitted while the real proof is he realized his mistake towards the end and did not add the vampire wife to the last will and testament. Did the family plot all this? Perhaps not consciousnesses awareness but this is the way they grow in a free society through the growth of the family. After all, to take over a wealthy family gives them the fortunes to the eventual Jihad. The wealthy family see this and tries to fight them only to be countered by their claim that they are now facing prejudice. Will they win against the hostile takeover in the family? You cannot say for sure where the battle takes more than one generation, at times, or ends abruptly where no one is sure whether it was all really bias. It should be noted that when such a middle eastern wife sees wealth she naturally wants the concept of power that she is brought up to be consistent. If she does not see the power or the manhood she puts pressure on the husband thinking she is doing the husband a favor while his perceptions of power and wealth are inconsistent with her demands. Thus she becomes a horrible vampire where the husband may die or or go insane. We can admire the husband who thinks his self discipline and tolerance are the equation but this does not make he not taking a stand any better for the outcome.
True romance is "love under will" and its glory is beyond the scammer vampire who is incapable of any love on any level. No matter what sexual preference you are nor what gender you are, if you are an initiate DE SIRENIS is a warning to everyone. You absolutely cannot ignore that you have chosen a Path whose spiritual and magical goals mean caution on how you view relationship. Although this essay is inspired by a specific issue where a male initiate has married a female who became a vampire it works both ways. A female initiate can be compromised by a male vampire in the same manner with any number of levels of disaster. A female initiate must be as brave and in touch with reality to end the relationship as the male initiate or her Path will be compromised and Great Work either delayed or lost. Love who you will but remember your Oaths; and know that when you build magical energy it does not always attract angels but devils might appear on the outskirts of your circle. The ritual of life must be consistent and absolute with your involvement where no matter what you do you do it for the infinite possibility which is unto Nuit. It is either ecological exchange which is regeneration or the finalized end where you sink forever on the Palace Floor to live with your delusions as a slave to a vampire or die from the vampire.Two initiates who are Thelemites whose aspiration and will is towards the Adept or Master? Well, this does occur where both who are initiates will stifle each other or face the consequences of a conflict on their growth. When discussing this with my Instructor he did give me examples; 2. and those two initiates who stay with each other both have responsibilities where they can attract to themselves an old Aeon current and both leave the Path altogether. True, a “man of earth” does often marry and have children. True, a “hermit” might have a mistress who he never marries. True, the “lover” might have any number of affairs where he never commits in the way an old Aeon relationship exists. It would as dogmatic to state monogamy is more efficient or Thelemic than polygamy where it depends on where you are on the path, how old or healthy you are; and whether you are a hermit, lover or man of earth. Karl Germer was a hermit who choose monogamy as a prime example. I went back and forth from hermit to lover never choosing man of earth. My instructor choose man of earth and finding a vampire moved to hermit! The brother I am writing about went from lover to man of earth with his first wife to lover back to man of earth finding a vampire with his second wife but it was too late to move back to either lover or hermit where the vampire killed him! Choose ye well!
In Liber 777, Column VIII called "Orders of Qliphoth" you'll find the name "Lilith" who is the demon queen of Malkuth. Note that you have to to go to Column CXXXIII on page 24 to get the English translations and instead of Lilith being mentioned we have on Malkuth, line 10 the words, "The Evil Woman (simply) The Woman" indicating that the vampire need not know they are a vampire to be a vampire. As everybody knows who has tried to translate “Lilith” from any number of languages that you cannot be absolutely sure its etymology where you have the Dead Sea Scrolls, mistranslations from versions of the Bible where the list goes on with scholars screaming at each other on its direct translation. So it is no wonder that Liber 777 has no real direct translation. After all, no one else has either! We do, the modern magician, translate it therefore as the "Evil Woman" and identify it with the Vampire ordeal of the Neophyte.
Carl Jung introduced the idea of archetypes where he details the concept of the devouring mother which in addition to Lilith we have the mother actually existing as a vampire. In folklore the evil stepmother is in our old stories.
Without a doubt the folklore of the vampire does originate from very real conflicts and exchanges in relationships and although the modern stories of drinking blood are all fable and superstition the vampire nevertheless does exist in a form which is as deadly as the worse horror stories for the draining of the life energy brought on by jealousy, greed or spite does have the same tragic end.
