Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law
Although I appreciate the numerous invitations to come visit those who would have me come to see them I have no interest anymore in travel. I only keep a passport for identification purposes; and if you would meet with me for instruction or Feast it is you, and not I who would be obliged to travel.
In the early days of my Path so many decades ago I did travel to different places for magical retirements going so far as to set up Temples in hotels or motels. I have already reported some of this in a few of my essays. It was something of an adventure but with a private Temple that I build magically and on other planes persistently I have no need to travel. Communication is easy these days with the various ways with the invention of the internet. In the past, such amazing new technologies wasn’t conceived as anything less than science fiction. At my age, I raise an eyebrow with robots and social media but although I do not use them I do observe their influence on basic communication. All in all, it easier to create an email letter than wait for an answer by snail mail. Also, typewriters are now obsolete; and the word programs are especially convenient not to mention the attachment laser printer. I used to do my correspondence with students on a typewriter using carbon paper for complete files. Today I simply print out one copy to mail; and one copy for the files. So, as old as I am and cautious as I have been with some of the more senseless applications on mobile phones I am at least aware of these leaps in technology. Keep in mind I was still using the Picket Slide Rule in the seventies e.v. and did not realize that technologies would move so fast. Now, the majority thinks it wise for me to enter what they call “the twenty first century” although they use this label I would never use it as a Thelemite who think in terms of the New Aeon dating system.
I already know that world civilization will be changing and has been changing since the world was destroyed by fire. A.C. once stated that much of the war of his time had “big business” behind it. I see the process with overall communications being better where a collapse of some of the third world nations who will be horrified on the changes coming. Although I have a excellent idea what shall occur the idea cannot be proven outright so I keep silent not completely knowing whether my deductions would be too far reaching for the Timeline.
Nevertheless, the first nation to accept the Law of Θελημα shall be sole mistress of the world. Thelemites from different nations secretly or openly want it to be their nation, of course, and the most powerful nations are those who permit freedom of religious beliefs without persecution. After all, we are not like the others; and with no one explaining how the manifestations really occur but those of higher Grades no real Adepts ever appear on social media. Some of them are more advanced than others but those who do not Lurk and Withdraw cannot know when it is time to raise the magical sword toward the opposition and when to retain the stainless silence of the Lord of Silence. In fact, we Thelemites are mistaken for something we are not where the naive monotheists continue with their one, one, one until you simply ignore their genuflect demeanor where the letter being retained they have lost the spirit.
As crime free as the majority of our kind is we are yet viewed with suspicion. Yet our kind has no history of persecution of others. It was they and not us who committed Jihad and Inquisition fighting senseless wars on which brand of monotheism would arise in triumph.
Yet, observe history carefully. Without us civilization and technologies would have not arisen. It was our kind who presented astrology which evolved into astronomy. It was our kind who presented alchemy which evolved into chemistry. Even the Temple arrangement of the Church and the Mosque was stolen from us. All political systems have something of the concept of mystical aristocracy which isn’t even studied at the universities. We are the true levers of civilization; and are very aware of the changes that the New Aeon shall bestow upon the world. Even through centuries of persecution and genocide a few of us managed to find free enough nations for us to exist today.
On January 14th, 2026 e.v. I celebrated fifty years with affiliation with the A∴A∴ and so much has occurred with my Path and the Great Work that I know that as long as I am alive I shall continue to write essays. I am sure that I am one of the oldest Thelemites yet alive where I accepted the Law of Θελημα in 1972 e.v.. With a very real Instructor who was instructed by Karl Germer I have been passed on a great deal.
You never stop learning when you become a Thelemite (so we are "called") and my observations of phenomenal existence and concourse of magical forces has improved. Nevertheless, I am not a fortune teller; and the factor infinite and unknown in every mathematical equation means surprises are coming. Some of them very pleasant; and some of them typical of the slave mentality that deteriorates the private growth of the individual.
As for news media my advice is to only read the news once a month and not be obsessed by the uninformed opinions of the profane.
Look around and observe for all the nations of this earth shall know the consequences of the change as the 93 Currents grows throughout the years.
